Haikus from my 2nd Period Freshman English Class
*****These first 3 Haikus are from my student Dena. She is an amazing poet.
Breathe green energy / walk through trees and discover / vibrations exchange
Path of old pages / words guide the way to power / the doors close at nine
Afraid of the farm / caught in charismatic plants / not right for me now
*****The next set are from various other students who tried their best.
I went to the store / I bought a bunch of Cheetos / they taste very good
Mushroom clouds are cool / they are a fun thing to watch / they end with a boom
The laptop is white / the ugly table is grey / all the walls are blue
****Then there were those who just couldn’t quite grasp the art of 5/7/5.
That girl has huge feet / I bet you money they smell bad / I’m going to ask her out
I play lacrosse / I am a goalie / it really hurts
Mark is on the computer / he makes beats on the computer / he is a cool sound mixer
